CONSULTING ENGINEERS & PROJECT MANAGERS

(Pty) Ltd

About Us

We are multidisciplinary Consulting Engineers and have Partners and Staff in the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering fields.

Bicon has been established in Namibia for 60+ years. The Namibian practice was founded in 1957 as B.S. Bergman & Partners (SWA). In 1998 the Namibian branch was incorporated and became known as Bicon Namibia. We pride ourselves that we are currently one of the largest Engineering Consulting practices in Namibia, carrying out the work in Namibia with local staff.

Bicon Namibia is proud to be a founding member of the Green Building Council of Namibia and tries to reduce the energy consumption of buildings during the design phase.

Since the early days of the firm’s existence, it has always been the policy to employ and train as many local staff as possible and therefore provide a very effective base of local expertise. All partners are Namibian citizens, with 75% of the shares held by the BEE partners.

Bicon Namibia has the capacity, knowledge and experience to handle large projects with ease and on time, and apart from the computer aided draughting facilities, it has a sophisticated library of engineering computer programmes for accurate and economical sizing in all Engineering disciplines.

The firm has its head office in Windhoek, but operates permanent offices in Oshakati and Rundu in northern Namibia and Swakopmund at the coast of Namibia. Site offices on large projects are established as required.

The office operates in association with the other Bicon offices in the SADC Region and is also represented in Angola through a partnership with an Angolan company.
